Maicer Eduardo Izturis (My-sair iss-TUR-iss)... Married... Half-brother of Cesar Izturis... Took part in numerous community events and youth baseball clinics when with the Angels.

2014

Was placed on the DL with a left-knee injury April 14… Was eventually placed on the 60-day DL after requiring surgery to repair a torn ligament in that knee… Missed 148 games this season, during which the team went 75-72...His 11 games were the fewest he has played in a season since his debut in 2004...Had multi-hits in five of his first seven games this season, including each of his first three games.

Posted his lowest batting average (.236) since his debut season (.206, 2004-MTL, 32 games)… His .597 OPS was the lowest of his career in a season in which he played a minimum of 60 games…His previous career-low was .634 set in 2012. Of his five home runs last year, four gave Toronto the lead. Played over 100 games for the 6th time in his career… The 107 appearances marks the 3rd most he has played in a season (122-2011, 114-2009)…Appeared in at least 100 games in three consecutive seasons for the 1st time in his career.
