Timothy Dayle Wood...Is a 2001 graduate of Sabino High School in Tucson, AZ, where he played baseball and football...Also played collegiate baseball at Pima Community College in Tucson. 2012 Was an invite to Pirates spring training...spent the entire season with Triple-A Indianapolis. ... Allowed three home runs in first six appearances April 7-22 but did not allow one in final 48 appearances. ... Converted eight consecutive saves June 17-July 15. ... Posted a 0.46 ERA (19.2 IP, 1 ER) in 13 May games and a 0.71 ERA (12.2 IP, 1 ER) with seven saves in 10 June games. ... Named to International League All-Star team. ... Allowed just five hits in final 17 appearances (21.1 IP) July 20-August 29. ... Held right-handed batters to a .201 average (32-for-159) and lefties to a .232 average (23-for-99). ... Ranked second in International League in saves (21) and tied for second in appearances (54)...tied for fourth in all of Triple-A in saves. ...
