Jonathan Paul Arencibia…participated in the Rangers 2014 Winter Caravan after taking part in Toronto's winter tour each of the previous 3 years…is engaged to Kimberly Perry, the lead vocalist of the country music band The Band Perry and spent part of the off-season touring with the band.

Started 115 games at catcher and 3 as the DH in his final season with Toronto…set career highs for games (138) and at bats (474)…ranked 2nd on the club in at bats, was 3rd in games, and placed 5th in homers (21), RBI (55), and total bases (173)…had a team high 148 strikeouts…had the lowest batting average (.194) and on-base percentage (.227) among all major league players with at least 450 at bats…played for the United States in the World Baseball Classic, going 1-for-5 in 2 games.

2012 Finished with 18 home runs in his 2nd full season and now has 42 as a catcher ranking 4th on the all-time Blue Jays list for catchers...Was placed on the disabled list on July 26 after being hit on the right hand by a foul ball vs. OAK on the 25th...Suffered a non-displaced fracture and did not return until Sept. 7...Batted .242 with 16 home runs and 50 RBI in 81 games prior to the injury and .197 with two home runs and six RBI in 21 games following...In his final 10 games did bat .379 with two home runs and six RBI...Finished T-3rd among AL catchers with 52 RBI and 5th with 17 home runs...Hit a game-winning home run on Opening Day at CLE in the 16th inning...Was the second year in a row he has homered on Opening Day and the 3rd year in a row he has homered in his first game...Only Jack Hannahan currently has a longer streak at four years...Had his best month in May posting a .278 average with eight home runs and 19 RBI...
