Appeared in nine games for the Yankees (5 starts at 2B, 1 at 3B), hitting .227 (5-for-22) with 5R, 2 doubles, 1HR and 2RBI…made his Yankees debut in 9/18 loss at Boston, starting at 2B and going 1-for-4 with 1R…was signed to a Major League contract and selected to the Yankees' active roster from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre prior to the game…became the first Colombia-born player to appear in a game for the Yankees… hit two-run HR-his only HR with the Yankees-and was 3-for-5 with 2R and 1 double in 9/21 win at Tampa Bay…spent the majority of the season with Scranton/WB, hitting .319 (163-for-511) with 64R, 33 doubles, 3 triples, 7HR and 67RBI in 131 games, appearing at 2B, 3B, SS and DH…led the IL in hits, ranked third in batting average, tied for third in doubles and was fourth in total bases (223)…was named to the IL Postseason All-Star Team…hit .404 (65-for-161) off left-handed pitching…in seven playoff games for the IL champions, hit .308 (8-for-26) with 6R, 4 doubles and 3RBI…cleared waivers and elected free agency in lieu of being outrighted to the minors on 10/10…following the season, appeared in 16 games with the Tigres del Licey of the Dominican Winter League and batted .250 (12-for-48) with 7R and 5RBI…
