Signed by Rockies scout Mike Ericson...Mountain West Conference Player of the Year at the University of New Mexico in 2007.

2013

Began the season on the Rockies Opening Day roster for the second-straight season...spent approximately three weeks at Triple-A 7/28-8/19, then finished the season on the active roster... Prior to his option to Triple-A, Pacheco played 2 games at catcher, however, upon his return, Pacheco started 11 games behind the dish... Hit .271 (16-for-59) with 5 doubles, 5 RBI and 4 runs in 26 games following his return to the Majors from Triple-A...was batting .229 (43-for-188) at the time of his option to Triple-A... After batting .351 (46-for-131) vs. LHP in his rookie season of 2012, Pacheco batted .205 (23-for-112) vs. left-handers in 2013...hit over 60 points higher vs. RHP (.267) this season that vs. LHP... Struggled vs. the AL in Interleague play, batting just .143 (5-for-35) in his 10 games vs. AL...hit .255 (54-for-212) vs. NL pitchers... Saw playing time in 43 games at first base in 2013...did not play a game at third base after seeing time at third in 82 games during the 2012 season... His lone home run in 2013 was a grand slam that came on 5/17 vs. SF off Madison Bumgarner in the Rockies 10-9 victory...was his first careergrand slam and one of just two hit by the Rockies all season (also Nolan Arenado on 5/4 vs. TB off David Price)... Hit .315 (17-for-54) with 5 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run and 6 RBI in 18 games at Triple-A.

2012 Was one of the most productive rookies in the National League and finished the season as the NL's 5th leading hitter with a .309 mark...his 5th place ranking in the NL batting race is the highest for a Rockies rookie in franchise history...according to STATS, he was the first NL rookie to rank in the top-5 of the league's batting race since Houston's Greg Gross finished 3rd and Chicago's Bill Madlcok finished 5th both in 1974. Ranked in the top-10 of NL rookies in average (1st), hits (147, 3rd), runs (51, 6th), doubles (32, 4th), RBI (54, 5th) and extra-base hits (40, 7th). His .309 average led all Rockies players, the first time a rookie has led the club in batting...only Todd Helton's .315 average in his rookie season in 1998 is a higher mark in club history. Had three 10-plus game hit-streaks, the first Rox rookie in club history with three hit-streaks of at least 10 games...his 14-game hit-streak from 8/22-9/5 was tied for the longest by a NL rookie in 2012 and the longest by a Rockie in 2012. Hit .325 (41-for-126) with 46 RBI with runners in scoring position...batted .351 (46-for-131) vs. left-handers, which ranked 8th in the NL and led all Senior Circuit rookies. Pacheco spent the majority of his defensive time at third base (82 games, 80 starts) and first base (43 games, 35 starts), though he also caught five games. Spent all but 20 days on the Rockies active roster in 2012 and was a member of the Rockies Opening Day roster for the first time...was optioned to Triple-A on 4/15, where he would stay until 5/4...hit .433 (29-for-67) with 3 doubles, 3 home runs, 10 RBI in 17 games for the Sky Sox. 2011 Made his Major League debut with the Rockies on 9/6 vs. ARI in what was his fifth professional season in 2011...Pacheco spent the first five months of 2011 as one of Triple-A Colorado Springs regular catchers...Appeared in 21 games for the Rockies following his recall on 9/6, splitting time between catcher (2 games), first base (13 games), second base (2 games) and third base (7 games)...hit .286 (24-for-84) with a double, 2 home runs, 14 RBI and 5 runs scored in his first taste of the big leagues with the Rockies...Made his Major League debut on 9/6 as the Rockies starting third baseman...notched a single in his first MLB at-bat went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI in his first MLB contest...In 97 games at Triple-A Colorado Springs Pacheco hit .278 (101-for-363) with 21 doubles, 3 triples, 3 home runs and 50 RBI...Pacheco played almost strictly at catcher for the Sky Sox...Pacheco connected on his first MLB home run, and had career-high 3 hits and 3 RBI in Rockies 12-7 victory on 9/10 vs. CIN...had 6 RBI in first 5 MLB starts...Owned a seven-game hitting streak 9/10-17, which were his fourth thru 10th career MLB games...hit .367 (11-for-30) with 2 HR, 6 RBI during streak...Pacheco became the sixth player in Rockies history to have at least a six-game hit-streak in first nine career games...second player with a seven-game streak in first 10 MLB games with the Rockies (Pierre - 8 game streak, 2001)...Batted .385 (10-for-26) with 12 RBI with runners in scoring position for Colorado...his 14 RBI and 24 hits were the most on the club from the point he made his MLB debut through the end of the season 2010 Began the season at High-A Modesto before being transferred to Double-A Tulsa in early August where he would experience Double-A for the first time in his career...Batted .321 (145-for-451) with 27 doubles, 3 triples, 5 home runs and 70 RBI in 104 games for Modesto and was named to both the Mid-Season and Post-Season All-Star teams in the California League...Had far more walks (54) than strikeouts (36) for the Nuts...his .321 average led the club, while his 70 RBI were the 4th-most despite missing nearly the entire month of August following his promotion...Following his promotion, Pacheco batted .333 (26-for-78) with 5 doubles, 1 home run and 19 RBI in 21 games for the Drillers...his 19 RBI were the most on the club after his arrival...His 89 RBI between the two stops led all Rockies Minor League players, while his 151 hits were the 3rdmost among Rockies farmhands...Finished his 2010 season by playing in the Arizona Fall League for Scottsdale...batted .317 (20-for-63) with 5 doubles, 2 triples and 11 RBI in 18 games for the Scorpions. 2009 In his third professional season, and just his second overall as a catcher, Pacheco earned the South Atlantic League Most Valuable Player Award for his full season with the Asheville Tourists...hit .322 (145-for-451) with 30 doubles, 4 triples, 13 home runs and 79 RBI in 117 games for the Tourists, leading the club to a postseason birth...owned an .871 OPS, (.379 on-base, .492 slugging)...his .322 average was the 2nd best mark in the SAL, trailing only fellow Tourist Kiel Roling...his .492 slugging percentage was the 6th best mark in the circuit, while his .397 on-base percentage was the 7th best in the league...hit left-handers at a .374 (40-for-107) clip, while hitting .305 (105-for-344) vs. right-handers...batted .335 (75-for-224) prior to the All-Star break, and .308 (70-for-227) after the break...hit .329 (51-for-155) with 65 RBI with runners in scoring position...received 181 at bats as the club's designated hitter, though he hit better as the club's catcher (.333, 90-for-270) than as the DH (.304, 55-for-181)...following the season, was named the 22nd best prospect in the Rockies organiztion by Baseball America. 2008 Spent the entire season with Tri-City as a catcher after playing strictly as an infielder last season... led the club with his 35 RBI and finished 2nd with his .280 (60-for-214) batting average...hit .269 (14- for-52) off lefties and .284 (46-for-162) off righties...hit .301 (53-for-176) while in the lineup as the club's catcher and .184 (7-for-38) as the club's designated hitter. 2007 Split his first professional season between rookie-level Casper and short-season Tri-City...combined to hit .286 (64-for-224) in 63 games.
