Christopher James Robinson...wife's name is Amy...attended the University of Illinois, earning All-Big Ten Conference honors his junior season...majors in sports management... was first Canadian to play for Illinois in more than 20 years...signed by Marty Miller (Detroit)...previously selected by the Mets in 30th round of the 2002 June draft out of Lord Dorchester Secondary School (Ontario, Canada), but did not sign...named Ontario Player of the Year and best catcher in Canada in 2001. 2012 Spent the season with Triple-A Norfolk, batting .232/.298/.311 in 52 games ... Threw out 42.3 % of attempted basestealers (11-26) ... Had season-high 3 hits on three occasions; May 6 and June 6 and 18 ... Collected season-high 3 RBI twice; May 4 and June 18 ...
