Went 7-1 with a 2.58 ERA (19er, 66.1ip) in a team-high 71 relief appearances in his second full season with San Francisco...His seven relief wins ranked as the fifth-most among NL relievers while his 0.95 WHIP was the 11th-best...Held left-handed batters to a .226 average against while right-handers hit .186...RH hitters were just 5-for-theirlast- 42 against him (.119)...Had a 25.1 inning scoreless streak from April 16-June 21 (25 games), the longest by a Giants relief pitcher since Jeremy Affeldt had a 28.0-inning streak in 2009...Earned three relief wins in his team's first 15 games, becoming the first Giants pitcher to do so since Bob Shaw in 1964.

Posted a 3-1 record with a 2.38 ERA (14er, 53.0) in 51 relief appearances for the Giants. Was recalled from triple-A Fresno on five different occasions. Recorded his first big league win on April 29 at Arizona... tossed 1.0-perfect inning of relief. Was 3-0 with a 1.17 ERA (4er, 30.2ip) in 29 games against NL West opponents. 2012 Had his contract purchased by San Francisco from triple-A Fresno on Sept. 1. Made his ML debut on Sept. 3 and went on to appear in eight games with SF. Spent the entire season with triple-A Fresno, going 2-1 with a 3.97 ERA (25er, 56.2ip) and 15 saves in 53 relief appearances.
