Went 1-4 with a 5.67 ERA (46.0IP, 29ER) for Colorado... Posted career-highs in appearances (37), innings (46.0) and strikeouts (34)... Pitched to a 1.54 ERA (23.1IP, 4ER, 4BB, 20K) in his first 13 appearances, April 2-May 14... Struck out season-high 3, April 30 @LAD... Tossed season-high 3.0 scoreless innings, May 10 @STL... Appeared in one game for Triple-A Colorado Springs (1.1 scoreless IP, H, 2K)

2012 Escalona made a career-high 22 appearances for the Rockies in 2012...he also set a career-high with 21 strikeouts...tossed at least 1.0 inning in 17 of his 22 appearances. Throughout the 2012 season, Escalona made two stints for the Rockies...he was recalled for the first time 4/17 and optioned 5/8...was recalled for the final time on 8/4 and spent the remainder of the season with the Rockies despite spending time on the 15-day disabled list from 8/11-9/2 with right elbow inflammation. Was issued his first career loss 5/4 vs. ATL after allowing two runs on two hits over 1.0 inning, was the first decision of his career. Finished the season with five scoreless outings, allowing just five hits and one walk while striking out four over 7.0 innings from 9/22-10/3. Made 32 appearances for Triple-A Colorado Springs, his third straight season with at least 30 appearances for the Sox...second-best ERA (2.93) among Sox pitchers with at least 20 appearances, as well as the second-lowest opponent batting average (.240)...one of three Sox pitchers with no starts to post at least 40 strikeouts...had the third-most saves (5) on the Sox. Escalona was at his best after he returned from the DL...posted a 2.57 ERA (14.0 ip, 4 er) in 13 outings in September/October. Held opponents to a .264 (23-for-87) average against, including lefties at .242 (8-for-33) and righties at .278 (15-for- 54)...in his career, opponents have batted just .221 (44-for-199) against Escalona in his 41 Major League games. 2011 Began the 2011 season with Triple-A Colorado Springs where he was used in late-inning relief...Was recalled by the Rockies for a spot relief outing 7/1 vs. KC...allowed just one hit in 1.0 inning in that appearance...Spent the rest of the season at Colorado Springs where he finished with a 3-1 record and a 3.18 ERA (39.2 ip, 14 er) in 34 appearances...struckout 40 compared to walking 11 and held opponents to a .241 batting average...the .241 opponent average was the lowest among all Sky Sox pitchers...his 1.16 WHIP was the fewest among all Sky Sox pitchers...Prior to his second recall in late July, he recorded six straight scoreless outings for the Sky Sox, allowing just three hits and one walk while striking out six over 10.0 innings...Made his second appearance on the Rockies after being recalled 7/31...made two scoreless appearances 7/31 and 8/2 before allowing five runs on 11 hits over four outings from 8/5-19...was placed on the 15-day DL 8/23 with a strained right rotator cuff...missed 14 games while the Rockies went 6-8 in those 14 games while he was on the DL...Came off the DL 9/9 and made his first appearance that night vs. CIN, allowed just one hit in 1.0 ip and struckout one...In his final seven outings after being reinstated from the disabled list would allow just three hits and two walks (both intentional) and struckout five over 8.0 innings for his career-high scoreless inning streak...Over his final four outings, Escalona allowed just one base runner, an intentional walk, over 5.0 innings...he struckout four batters over those 5.0 innings and lowered his season ERA from 2.18 to 1.75 2010 Made his Major League debut with 1.0 inning outing September 10 vs. ARI getting three fly outs on just eight pitches...Finished three of the four games he pitched in...also allowed just one run in his four outings after being recalled August 27...Held opponents to a .190 (4-for-21) average in the five games he appeared in this season...tossed at least 1.0 inning in each appearance...Was rated by Baseball America as the 27th-best prospect in the Rockies system by Baseball America following the season. 2009 Began his season with Single-A Modesto, working as the club's primary set-up man from the beginning of the season to mid-June, when he was transferred to Double-A Tulsa...he posted a 2-0 record with a 2.48 ERA (32.2 ip , 9 er) in 28 appearances for the Nuts...he had 34 strikeouts and just 9 walks in his 28 games with Modesto...after the promotion to Tulsa in June, Escalona again took over as a top set-up man in the Drillers bullpen...he went 1-2 with 4 saves and a 2.45 ERA (36.2 ip, 10 er) in 31 games for the Drillers...with Tulsa he recorded 32 strikeouts and just 11 walks in 31 games...Escalona did not allow a run in his first eight appearances with the Drillers following his promotion...on the season he recorded 66 strikeouts in 69.1 ip, while issuing just 18 bases on balls...opponents batted just .221 (58-for-263) against him between the two stops...following the season Escalona was added to the Rockies 40-man roster for the first time...rated as the Rockies 20th-best prospect in the organization by Baseball America, the first time in which the publication has ranked him among the club's top 30 prospects. 2008 In his first full professional season Escalona pitched the entire season with Asheville...was one of 5 Tourists relievers to post a sub-3.50 ERA (3.22)...his 44 appearances were 3rd most on the team...allowed just 2 earned runs over a 2 month, 18 game stretch from May-June (0.65 ERA, 27.2 ip, 2 er)...lefties hit .333 (37-for-11) and righties hit .187 (34-for-182). 2007 Went 1-1 with one save and a 4.05 ERA in his first season with Casper...made 18 relief appearances, fourth-most on the team...allowed earned runs in 4 of his 18 appearances, including a season high 6 earned July 25 at Helena...did not allow an earned run over final 6 appearances (14.2 ip) to lower ERA from 9.00 to 4.05...held opposition scoreless in 12 of his 18 appearances.
