Worked exclusively as a reliever for the Rangers but missed the last 4 months of the season due to right elbow inflammation....Made 27 appearances for TEX, allowing runs in 9 of his 27 games, and multiple runs in 6 of the 9...Was placed on DL on 6/4 with right elbow inflammation and did not return to the active roster for the remainder of the season...Transferred to the 60-day DL on 8/3 and began a throwing program in September...Appeared in 20 of the Rangers' first 40 games and ranked 10th in the AL with 27 appearances at the time he went on the DL on 6/4...Recorded his only save of the season on 4/13 vs. HOU.

Missed 75 games due to 3 stints on the disabled list… finished 4th on the staff in starts (18) and innings (104.1) and tied for 5th in wins (7)…compiled the 2nd lowest ERA (3.11) and opponents batting average (.231) among all Rangers pitchers with at least 80.0 innings …was 6-4, 3.23 (35 ER/97.2 IP) in 18 starts and 1-0, 1.35 (1 ER/6.2 IP) in 5 relief appearances.
