Had four stints with the Red Sox (5/9-5/19, 6/11, 7/5-7/9 and 7/19-8/1)...Went 0-0 with a 6.35 ERA in 7 relief appearances with Boston...Made his Major League debut on 5/12 vs. Toronto (1ip, 2h, 2r, 2er, 1bb, 0k)...Went 5-1 with a 2.75 ERA and 1 save in 34 relief appearances at Triple-A Pawtucket...International League batters hit just .187 off him.....had 59 strikeouts in just 52.1 innings...Was claimed off waivers by Milwaukee on 9/13...Pitched for Team Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic (6g, 0-0, 4.76era)...Following the season pitched for Caguas in the Puerto Rican Winter League.

2012 Spent the 1st half of the year in the Indians minor league system before being acquired by the Red Sox in exchange for Brent Lillibridge on 7/24. Combined to go 9-1 with a 2.80 ERA (23 ER/74.0 IP) in 46 games (1 start) for Double-A Akron, Triple-A Columbus, and Triple-A Pawtucket...Averaged 9.0 strikeouts per 9.0 innings (74 SO/74.0 IP).
