Ryan Christopher Jackson…graduated from Florida Christian High School (FL) and attended Gulliver Prep and Westminster Christian High School…played college baseball at the University of Miami (FL)…was 2009 first team all-Atlantic Coast Conference selection and named the 2008 Coral Gables Regional Most Outstanding Player...was a member of the 2008 Team USA Baseball National team...was an AFLAC All-American in high school.

2013

Spent the majority of the season with Triple-A Memphis after making his first career Opening Day roster for the Cardinals, playing in seven games total for St. Louis...Optioned to Memphis on April 8 after playing in two games for the Cardinals...Recalled from Memphis for a second stint on September 3...Acquired off waivers by the Houston Astros on November 20 before later being acquired by the Padres from the Astros in exchange for INF/OF Jesus Guzman on December 18.

2012 Was the every day shortstop at Triple-A Memphis. Played 102 games at short and 13 at second for the Redbirds. Purchased from Memphis on 8/10 and made his MLB debut at PHI on 8/11, starting at second & going 0-3 with a fielding gem. Recorded his first Major League hit, a pinch-hit single, on 8/23 vs. HOU. Was optioned to Triple-A on 8/28. Recalled on 9/4 for a 2nd stint on the MLB roster,remaining until the end of the season. Started 3 games at second, and played at 2B in 7 of his 8 appearances. Was 2-for-7 as pinch-hitter for St. Louis, scoring once. Batted .272, 10 HR, 47 RBI with 23 2B's in 117 games at Memphis.Was 1st on the team with 12 sac bunts and hit a grand slam on 7/21 vs. OKC. His 23 doubles ranked T2nd at Memphis, and his 10 home runs were one shy of a career high (11 in 2011). 2012 POSTSEASON: Was on the roster for the Cardinals in the Wild Card game vs.Atlanta, but did not play. 2011 Has started 325 of his 327 regular season minor league career games at shortstop...Played a full season at Springfield as their every day shortstop, appearing in a team high 135 games...Was named a Texas League mid-season and post-season All-Star...Named Texas League Player of the Week (7/25-31) batting .400 (12-28) with a home run and 8 RBI...Ranked 3rd in the TL in games (135) and sacrifices (12), 4th in at-bats (533) and hits (148), 2nd in doubles (34), 8th in total bases (221) and 11th in RBI (73)...Led Texas League shortstops with 80 double plays and was T3rd among Double-A shortstops overall. Also led all Double-A shortstops with 395 assists...Tied with teammate Charlie Cutler for the longest hitting streak of the Texas League at 17 games (6/26-7/16), batting .293 (22-75) with a home run and 12 RBI during the streak...Hit first career grand slam at Arkansas (8/4) off Steve Geltz as part of a 3-for-5, 4 RBI game...Registered 41 multi-hit games and 10 games with three hits, also led Springfield with 44 walks...Tied his career best of 4 RBI in a game three times (6/4, 7/9 & 8/4)...Led Springfield with 18 sacrifices, leading the team with 12 sacrifice bunts and tying for the team lead with 6 sacrifice flies...Batted .342 (26-76) in 23 games while playing for Peoria in the Arizona Fall League. Ranked 11th in batting and 5th in AFL with a .438 on-base percentage.
