Ivan De Jesus Jr. attended American Military Academy in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico...is the son of former Major League infielder Ivan De Jesus, who from 1974-88 played for the Dodgers, Cubs, Phillies, Cardinals, Yankees, Giants and Tigers.

2015

One of the Reds' most versatile players, appeared in games at 1B (4g, 1gs on 8/2 vs Pit), 2B (20g, 13gs), SS (10g, 8gs), 3B (13g, 6gs) and LF (18g, 14gs)...were his first career apps in the outfield...was promoted from Louisville on 6/3, when Marlon Byrd was disabled...for the Bats hit .303 in 50 apps and 30 starts at 3B, 17 starts at 1B, 1 start at 2B and 1 start at SS...was the only Bats player to make at least 1 start each at 1B, 2B, 3B and SS...in the 6-4 win on 6/8 vs Phi made his first start for the Reds, played LF and in the sixth inning snapped the 3-3 tie with his first Major League home run (2-run off Cole Hamels)...when he started on 6/27 at NYM became the 28th Reds shortstop to play next to 2B Brandon Phillips...produced a pair of career-high 6-game hitting streaks (6/8-6/16, 7/22-8/2).

2013

Spent the season with Triple-A Indianapolis in the PIT organization...Led the club with a .319 AVG and .380 OBP (min. 100 AB) and was 4th in doubles (27) and SLG (.457) and 5th in total bases (139)...Had 27 multi-hit games, including a season-high three hits on three occasions...Had best month in July, batting .377/.449/.522 in 23 games...Played for Ponce in the Puerto Rican Winter League after the season, batting .277/.400/.323 in 38 games.

2012

Split season between the LAD and BOS organizations…Began season on the DL after suffering a strained left oblique during the March 17 spring training game vs. SF…Began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque on May 3…Recalled from rehab, reinstated from the DL and optioned back to Triple-A on May 6…Recalled by LAD on May 19…Delivered a two-run double in the top of the 9th inning while knocking in a career-high three runs on May 22 @ARI…Was hitting .353 (6-17) after his first 10 games before going 3-for-16 (.188) over his last 13 contests with the Dodgers…Optioned back to Albuquerque, June 28…Went
29-for-82 (.354) with 19 RBI in 22 games during the month of August with the Isotopes…Acquired by BOS on August 25 as part of a nine-player trade and optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket…Hit safely in five of his seven games with the PawSox before being recalled by BOS on September 2…Went hitless in eight at-bats over eight games with BOS…Won the Puerto Rican batting title after hitting .364 (52-143) with 11 doubles, three home runs, 24 RBI and 27 runs scored in 37 games while playing for Manatei in the Puerto Rican Winter League.

2011 Saw his first Major League action during three different stints with the Dodgers... selected to the Opening Day roster after batting .317 with two doubles and three RBI in 28 Spring Training games...Made his Major League debut on April 1 vs. San Francisco and went hitless in three at-bats...collected his first big league hit on April 16 vs. the Cardinals...Hit .188 (6-for-32) with an RBI and two runs scored in 17 games with the Dodgers...was at his best when batting 8th in the lineup where he had five hits in 16 at-bats (.313)...Made one error in 11 games (seven starts) for a .971 fielding percentage at second base...Finished the season with Triple-A Albuquerque where he hit .310 with 19 doubles, two triples, eight home runs, 59 RBI and 61 runs scored in 100 games...batted .352 at Isotopes Park...Finished in the top five of several Isotopes offensive categories, including average (.310, 1st), hits (120, 2nd), doubles (19, 4th), runs (61, 5th) and RBI (59, 5th)...his .310 average was good for eighth best among Dodger minor leaguers...Led all Dodger minor league second baseman with a .989 fielding percentage (min. 200 innings. 2010 Spent the entire season with the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes and played in 130 games, which was second on the club...hit .296 with seven homers, 70 RBI and 33 doubles...his on-base percentage was .335 ... Ranked third on the Isotopes with 89 runs scored and 158 hits ... Was successful in six of his seven stolen base attempts ... Played in 120 games at second base and just 20 at shortstop ... Was named by Baseball America as the best defensive second baseman in the Pacific Coast League in their year-end "tools" issue ... Played for new Dodger Manager Don Mattingly and the Phoenix Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League after the season. 2009 Missed most of the 2009 season after breaking his left tibia in a Spring Training "B" game...Made it back to the field on Aug. 25 and played in four games for the Arizona League Dodgers at the Rookie level...Finished the year playing 10 games for Gigantes de Carolina in the Puerto Rican Winter League 2008 Was the Dodgers' Branch Rickey Minor League Player of the Year in 2008, after hitting .324 and leading the Southern League with a .419 on-base percentage for Double-A Jacksonville... was third in the Southern League with 150 hits and second with 76 walks...Finished the year with career highs in average, homers (7), RBI (58), runs (91), games (128), hits (150), walks (76), on-base percentage and slugging percentage (.423)...Led all full-season Dodger minor leaguers with 91 runs scored and 76 walks...Participated in the XM Radio Futures Game at Yankee Stadium in July, the lone Dodger representative in the contest...was selected as a midseason Southern League All-Star, but did not play due to his involvement in the Futures Game...Stole 16 bases and was caught just twice...Ended the year • with a 23-game hitting streak, batting .420 (37-for-88) with 27 runs scored to raise his average from .301...hit .438 (46-for-105) with five homers, 16 RBI, and 31 runs scored in 27 games in August...Batted .353 (41-for-116) with runners in scoring position 2007 Hit .287 in 121 games as the full-time shortstop for Single-A Inland Empire...Set a professional career high with 52 RBI...Rated as the Dodgers' 13th-best prospect and as having the best strike zone discipline in the Dodger organization by Baseball America 2006 Played 126 games for Single-A South Georgia and batted .277 with 65 runs scored, 44 RBI, 17 doubles and 16 stolen bases... was the primary shortstop...Ranked by Baseball America as the 6th-best Dodger prospect and also tabbed the Best Defensive Infielder prior to the season 2005 Made his professional debut with the GCL Dodgers after being drafted in the second round...Hit .339 in 33 games for the GCL Dodgers, before being promoted to Ogden...Batted .208 in 20 games for Single-A Ogden at the end of the season.
