Attended Lafayette High School in Lexington, KY…Named Third Team High School All-America by Baseball America following his senior season at Lafayette in which he went 7-2 with a 0.63 ERA and 89 strikeouts…Is the grandson of Hall of Famer Bill Mazeroski.

2015

Stranded a career-high 21 inherited runners (77.8%)...Set career-highs in wins (four), appearances (36), innings pitched (41.1 IP), strikeouts (38), and strikeout/walk ratio (2.24) • Retired all seven batters faced with the bases loaded • Earned the win in consecutive games for the first time in his career (9/15 vs. BOS and 9/17 at TB) • Placed on the 15-day DL with right shoulder tendinitis on 8/10...Reinstated from the 15-day DL on 9/1 • Posted two separate six-game scoreless streaks: 6/13-28 (7.0 IP) and 5/24-6/2 (9.1 IP) • His 9.1 scoreless innings (5/24-6/2) was the longest such streak of his career in terms of innings and tied for the second-longest in terms of games • Tossed a career-high 2.1 innings and earned the win on 6/13 vs. NYY (stranded all three inherited runners) • Struck out a career-high four on 5/31 vs. TB (1.1 IP)...Made his Orioles debut on 5/24 at MIA (2.0 IP, 2 K) • Retired 21-of-35 first batters faced and stranded 21-of-27 inherited runners • Had his contract selected from Triple-A Norfolk on 5/24
