Appeared in 16 games over two stints with the White Sox after starting the season with Class AAA Charlotte … underwent season-ending surgery on 8/5 to remove loose bodies and shave down a bone spur in his right elbow … was recalled from Charlotte on 5/1 and made 11 appearances … pitched in three consecutive games for the first time in his career from 6/3-5 at Seattle (4.0 scoreless IP) … registered three strikeouts on 5/29 at the Cubs (1.0 IP) and 6/4 at Seattle … was optioned to Charlotte on 6/6 and recalled a second time on 6/21 … surrendered nine runs over 2.1 IP in his final appearance on 6/28-1 vs. Cleveland, the most by a White Sox reliever since Scott Eyre on 6/26/99 at Boston (also nine) … was placed on the disabled list on 6/29 with a right triceps strain … seven of his 10 outings with the Knights were scoreless … worked at least 1.0 IP in every appearance (2.0 four times) … recorded a save in each of his final appearances on 6/16 vs. Columbus (2.0scoreless IP) and 6/19 vs. Syracuse (2.0 scoreless IP) … was outrighted to Class AAA Charlotte on 10/3 … entered the season ranked by Baseball America as the No. 17 Prospect in the White Sox organization.
