Full name JORDAN CASSIDY BROWN...Wife's name is Mendi...Son, Damon, daughter, Alexis...Resides in Tucson, AZ...Played 3 years of baseball at the University of Arizona...Trevor Crowe is Damon's Godfather... Was named All-America by Collegiate Baseball in 2005 along with Trevor Crowe during his junior season after hitting .336 (88-262) with 17 2B, 14HR & 80 RBI in 60 games...Was also named second-team All-America by Sports Weekly...Led the Pac-10 with 80RBI, at the time just the fifth player at Arizona to finish a single season with 80 or more RBI...During his sophomore season of 2004 he hit .306 on a team that advanced to the CWS. 2010 Enjoyed his first two stints at the big league level in 2010 and spent the majority of the season at AAA Columbus where he hit .298 (97[-326) with 28 2B, 8HR & 67 RBI in 83 games...Season did not begin until April 29 after suffering a right knee injury during a spring training outfield drill and eventually underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus...Was on the Columbus active roster from April 29 until being recalled for the first time on July 31 after Austin Kearns was traded to the Yankees...At the time of his first promotion he was hitting .309 (84-272) with 25 doubles, one triple, six home runs and 63RBI...At the time of his first recall his average was the third highest in the International League, while his RBI total is tied for fifth despite not driving in his first run until the beginning of May...During his first stint with the Tribe from July 31-August 15 he hit.226 (7-31) with 4 doubles, one RBI and 4 runs scored in 9 games...Made his Major League debut on August 1 at Toronto and collected his first hit and run scored on August 2 at Boston off John Lackey...After being optioned back to AAA on August 15 he was 13-for-54 (.241) with 7 runs, 3 doubles, 2 home runs and 4 RBI in 14 games before being recalled a 2nd and final time when rosters expanded on Sept. 1...In Sept/Oct he hit .232 (13-56) with 5RS, 3 2B & 1 RBI in 17 games...Had a career high 3 hits on August 7 vs. Minnesota...Made 5 starts @ DH, 7 starts in LF & 8 starts at first base (10 games)...Was 1-for-6 as pinch hitter with Cleveland...Had a 6 RBI game, two 5RBI games and three 4RBI games for Columbus...Hit .312 (34-109) in July with 10 2B, 4HR & 26 RBI in 27 games...Appeared in 17 games at first base, 25 games in LF and 19 games in RF at Triple-A...Outrighted off 40-man roster on January 14. 2009 Spent entire season in AAA Columbus where he was a mid-season and post-season all-star selection and led the International League with a .336 batting average (2nd highest avg in Columbus history)...Also named to the Topps Triple A All-Star Team...Also finished 3rd in the league in slugging percentage (.532), 4th in OPS (.913), 6th in hits (140), 4th in total bases (222) & T5th in doubles (35)...Appeared in left field in 41 games, right field in 27 games and first base in 22 games...Had four 4-hit games on the season and a pair of 2-homer games...Was on the DL from August 4-22 with a right shoulder strain...Had an 11-game hitting streak from June 27-July 17 and from June 14-July 17 hit safely in 24 of 27 games...Hit .364 (28-77) in July with 10 2B, 3HR & 17 RBI in 21 games...Hit .373 (41-110) w/10 2B, 5HR & 22 RBI in the 2nd half (27G)...Hit .349 (106-304) off RHP, .301 (34-113) off LHP, .345 (61-177) w/runners on base and .342 (38-111) with RISP...Was 5 for 9 (.556) with the bases loaded w/11RBI...After the season played for Caracas in the Venezuelan Winter League (35G, .328, 39-119, 4HR, 21RBI, .937OPS)...Added to 40-man roster on Nov. 20 2008 Spent the entire season at AAA Buffalo after being limited to 9 games in spring training after recovering from off-season arthroscopic surgery on his left knee...Was hampered by the knee in April (.277, 0HR, 10RBI, 24G) and was eventually placed on the DL from May 2-18 w/knee soreness...Did heat up over the last month of the season, hitting .315 (29-92) with 6 2B, 2HR & 18RBI in the final 24 games...From July 17th on in the 2nd half he hit .311 (41-132) with 10 2B, 3HR & 24 RBI (.848OPS)...Appeared in 87 games at first base (did not appear in the OF)...Hit .323 (90-279) off RHP w/7HR & 40RBI (.865 OPS) and .199 (28-141, 0HR, .534OPS) off LHP...Hit 3-4-5 in the order in 106 games for Torey Lovullo...Hit .281 (50-178) with runners on and .272 (31-114) with RISP...Was 7 for 16 (.438) with the bases loaded...After the season played in 9 games (.241, 9-29, 4RBI) for Aguilas of the Dominican Winter League
