Wimberly...Is a 2002 graduate of Jean Ribault High School in Jacksonville, FL, where he played baseball and was a a running back on the football team...Was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Player-of-the-Year in 2005 after posting a league-leading .462 average for Alcorn State...Was named the SWAC Newcomer-of-the-Year after finishing second in the league with a .420 average in 2004. 2010 Spent entire season with Sacramento (Athletics' AAA)...Led Pacific Coast League in stolen bases and tied for fifth in all of minor league baseball during first season at Triple-A level...Became the first player in Sacramento history to steal 50 bases in a single season...Established minor league career high in runs scored, which ranked second in the Pacific Coast League...Made 50 appearances (39 starts) in left field, 39 appearances (35 starts) in center field, 31 appearances (29 starts) at shortstop, 17 appearances (16 starts) at third base and 11 appearances (10 starts) at second base...Hit .370 (40-for-108) with runners in scoring position, .311 (61-for-196) with runners on base and .526 (10-for-19) with the bases loaded...Had 127 of his 151 hits fall for singles...Homered on 5/6 vs.
