In his third full Major League season, Rosario was forced to spend time on the DL on two separate occasions, his first career stints on the DL...missed 12 games May 4-18 with a viral infection and 10 games Aug. 27-Sept. 7 with inflammation in his left wrist...The 106 games and 382 at bats were his fewest among his three full seasons (2012-14)...still managed a career-high 25 doubles...Rosario had 13 home runs and 54 RBI, his third season with at least 10 home runs and 50 RBI...Rosario joins Chris Iannetta as the only Rockies catchers with three seasons of at least 10 home runs and three seasons of at least 50 RBI...Rosario's HR on Aug. 10 at Arizona was the 59th of his career as a catcher, moving him past Iannetta for the most HR by a catcher in Rockies history...Rosario's 212 RBI trails only Iannetta (236 RBI) for the most among Rox catchers...Had one of his best career games on Sept. 18 vs. Arizona when he went 4-for-5 with a double, home run and three RBI...home run was a walk-off shot off Addison Reed...was first career walk-off home run...Finished the season strong by batting .340 (35-for-103) with eight doubles, four home runs, 18 RBI, 15 runs in 30 games after Aug. 1...career .313 hitter (141-for-450) with 25 doubles, 24 home runs, 83 RBI in 126 games in August and October...Despite the injuries and having his first sub-20 HR season, Rosario's 62 home runs since the 2012 season are the 2nd-most among full-time catchers, trailing only Brian McCann's 63 home runs...his 204 RBI are third-most among catchers since 2012.

Spent his entrie second full Major League season as the Rockies regular catcher, playing in a career-high 121 games... Led all NL catchers in home runs (21) for the second-straight season...is the only Rockies catcher to have multiple multiple 20 home run seasons (club record 28 HR in 2012)...his 52 home runs are already the 2nd-most for a Rockies catcher in franchise history (Chris Iannetta 63 HR)... Since the day he made his Major League debut on 9/6/11, Rosario's 52 home runs are the most among MLB catchers (Matt Wieters 51 HR)... Broke his own franchise record for RBI by a catcher with his 79 RBI in 2013...set the record with 71 RBI in 2012... Rosario (218 TB) was one of four NL catchers to collect more than 200 total bases, joining Yadier Molina (241), Jonathan Lucroy (237) and Buster Posey (234)... Played in just 10 games in September due to a right calf injury...hit over .280 in each of his other five months of the season, including a .351 (33-for-94) mark in August with 5 doubles, 5 home runs and 20 RBI...was nominated for NL Player of the Month Award in August... Had a career-long 13-game hitting streak 8/6-22...hit .364 (20-for-55) with 2 doubles, 5 home runs, 18 RBI in the 13 games... Hit .323 (42-for-130) with 8 doubles and 7 home runs in 138 plate appearances vs. left-handed pitching (.546 SLG vs. LHP)...hit .279 (89-for-319) with 14 doubles, 14 HR vs. RHP (.461 SLG)... Posted nearly identical numbers at home as on the road...hit .290 (65-for-224) with 11 home runs, 32 RBI and a .473 slugging percentage on the road...batted .293 (66-for-225) with 10 home runs, 47 RBI and a .498 SLG at home... Had his first two career two-hit games, as he went 4-for-5 on 4/13 at SD and 8/30 vs. CIN, both Rockies wins.

2012 Was a member of the Rockies active roster for the entire 2012 season as a 23-year-old rookie catcher...the Opening Day roster he made in 2012 was his first. Set several Rockies records in 2012 including the club rookie home run record by blasting an NL-rookie best 28 homers...his 28 home runs and 71 RBI are also the most ever by a Rockies catcher. According to STATS, Rosario is the fourth rookie catcher to be age 23 or younger during their rookie season in MLB history with 20 home runs or more...Detroit's Rudy York (1937, 35 HR, 23 years old) holds that record. Led all NL rookies in HR, RBI and slugging percentage...his .530 slugging percentage was the highest by a rookie catcher in the Majors since Mike Piazza set the all-time rookie catcher mark with his .561 SLG in 1993. Was the Rox backup catcher for the majority of the season's first month and a half until Ramon Hernandez went on the DL on 5/25...from 5/25 through the end of the season, Rosario caught in 85 of the Rox final 119 games (71.4-percent). Caught 24 attempted base stealers (24-of-88, 27.3-percent)...his 24 catcher caught stealing was 5th in the NL. Tied his career-high with 3 hits in each of four-straight games 9/20-23...Elias: Rosario is the only player in Rockies history to collect three or more hits in each of four straight games; the only other Major League player to do that in 2012 was Torii Hunter (Aug. 29-Sept. 1). Notched his first career multi-home run game on 5/5 vs. ATL, as he took both Mike Minor and Chad Durbin deep in the contest...notched his first career pinch-hit home run on 8/2 vs. STL off Brian Fuentes. Got stronger at the plate as the season progressed, as he batted .304 (21-for-69) with 7 home runs and 17 RBI in August and .311 (33-for-106) with 5 home runs and 14 RBI in September/October...hit .291 (60-for-206) after the break.
