Resides in Houston, TX during the offseason...Played his college baseball at Texas Christian University, where he was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Year in 2004 after breaking the TCU school record with 97 hits...also played football at TCU as a quarterback and saw his first game action as a junior in 2005 with a touchdown run vs. Air Force...was inducted into the TCU Hall of Fame in September, 2016.

2017

Split the 2017 season between the St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Nationals organizations...Hit .317 (20x63) with 10 runs scored, four doubles, one triple, two home runs and 11 RBI in 23 games with Triple A Memphis in May...Recorded the first triple of his Major League career with St. Louis on June 13 vs. Milwaukee.

2016
