Michael P. Bolsinger…a 2010 graduate of the University of Arkansas…appeared in three of the Razorbacks' four College World Series games in 2009…also attended Grayson County (Texas) Community College…graduated from North McKinney (Texas) High School, where he was named Second-Team All-State as a senior…pitched in the Texas Collegiate League in 2008-09…selected by Arizona in the 15th round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Arkansas and signed by scout Theodore Lewis…previously selected by Cleveland in the 34th round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft (did not sign) and by Oakland in the 33rd round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft (did not sign).

2015

In his first year with the Dodgers, went 6-6 with a 3.62 ERA in 21 starts in three stints with the big league club. ... First recalled on April 23 and made his Dodger debut that day, making the start at San Francisco and allowing just one run on five hits in 5.2 innings…pitched well in his second stint with the Dodgers when he was recalled on May 12 until July 31, going 5-3 with a 2.92 ERA in 15 starts for the big league club…recalled for his third stint with the club on September 1 until the conclusion of the season and went 1-3 with a 7.08 ERA in five starts. ... Limited opposing hitters to a .251 batting average, including a .224 mark against right-handers (53-for-237). ... Went 3-1 with a 1.05 ERA (3 ER/25.2 IP) in four May starts, posting the third-lowest ERA in the Majors, behind only Atlanta's Shelby Miller (0.95 ERA) and teammate Zack Greinke (1.05 ERA)…surrendered only three runs during May, the least given up by a Major League pitcher with at least four starts in the month. ... Had the best start of his career on May 23 against the Padres, allowing just one hit and striking out eight in a career-high 8.0 scoreless innings… allowed a leadoff single to Yangervis Solarte and then immediately erased him on a double play before he and Kenley Jansen retired the next 25 hitters…according to the Elias Sports Bureau, the last nine-inning MLB game in which a team faced the minimum 27 batters, allowing only a leadoff hit came on July 1, 1966, when the Pirates' Woodie Fryman tossed that gem against the Mets at Shea Stadium, giving up a leadoff single to Ron Hunt, who was then caught stealing as Pittsburgh beat the Mets, 12-0. ... In 10 games (eight starts) with Triple-A Oklahoma City, went 3-3 with a 2.31 ERA (12 ER/46.2 IP) and limited batters to a .186 average… struck out 61 batters in 46.2 innings. ... Saw his first big league action with the D-backs last season, going 1-6 with a 5.50 ERA in 10 games (nine starts) in two stints with Arizona...Struck out nearly three times as many as he walked with 48 Ks and only 17 walks in the Majors...After starting the season with two starts with Triple-A Reno, had his contract selected by the D-backs and made his Major League debut on April 14, 2014 in relief against the Mets, allowing two runs in 3.0 innings at Chase Field...Took the loss against the Dodgers in his first MLB start on April 19, 2014 at Dodger Stadium, allowing seven runs (six earned) in 4.0 innings in Arizona's 8-6 defeat...Picked up his first big league victory on April 24, 2014 against the Cubs at Wrigley Field, allowing only an unearned run in 6.2 innings in the D-backs' 5-2 win...Was 8-3 with a 3.93 ERA (40 ER/91.2 IP) in 17 games (16 starts) with Reno…struck out 88 against only 32 walks in 91.2 innings...Had a 2.13 ground out/air out ratio, while forcing 10 ground-ball double-plays in Triple-A...Boasted a 19.1-scoreless inning streak from May 16-31, including a 12-strikeout game on June 11 at Nashville...Placed on the seven-day minor league disabled list from Aug. 29-Sept. 14 with a strained left hamstring
