Jacob Steven Petricka...Pronounced puh-TRITCH-kuh ... Spent two years at Iowa Western Community College before transferring to Indiana State in 2009 ... Went 7-4 with a 4.11 ERA (46 ER/100.2 IP) and 113 strikeouts in 20 games (15 starts) for the Sycamores in 2010 and was named First-Team All-Missouri Valley Conference ... First drafted by the White Sox in 2006 (38th round)...Drafted by the Yankees in 2009 (34th round)...Drafted again by the White Sox in the 2nd round in 2010 and signed with the club on June 15, 2010.

2017

Made three stints on the disabled list ... Posted a 48.3 ground ball percentage...Had been at 62.9% or higher in each of his previous four MLB seasons ...
