Split the season between triple-A Iowa and the Cubs before landing on the 15-day disabled list, June 1 (retroactive to May 27), with a mild right forearm strain...was transferred to the 60-day disabled list, August 5…was activated from the D.L. and outrighted to Iowa on Oct. 8...Did not allow an earned run in 5.0 innings (five appearances) spanning three stints with the Cubs (April 13-15, May 6-8 & May 22-31)...Opened the season with Iowa, going 1-0 with a one save and a 5.40 ERA (7 ER/11.2 IP) in 12 relief appearances...Made four rehabilitation appearances (two starts) between Rookie-League Mesa and single-A Kane County August 24-September 2.
