Blake William Beavan (BEV-uhn)…resides in Irving, TX with wife Allison… graduated from Irving (TX) High School in May 2007…finished his senior season at 9-2 with a 0.19 ERA (2 ER, 73.0 IP) and 139 strikeouts…tossed an 18-strikeout perfect game against rival Irving MacArthur HS on March 6, 2007…named district MVP by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and district Co-Pitcher of the Year by The Dallas Morning News in '07…selected to Baseball America's 2007 High School All-America Team…named Gatorade's 2006-07 Texas High School Baseball Player of the Year…appeared in the 2006 Aflac All-American High School Baseball Showcase…earned a silver medal with Team USA in the 2006 World Junior Championship (1-1, 0.00, 14.2 IP, 14 K)…threw a CG shutout against Cuba with 11 strikeouts…selected as Baseball America's 2006 Youth Player of the Year…originally selected by Texas in the first round (17th overall) of the 2007 June draft
