Robert (Rob) Carson III graduated from Hattiesburg High School (MS) in 2007, where he was the baseball MVP and recipient of the Tiger Award, given to the player who exemplifies leadership, sportsmanship and team spirit...Hit over .300 all four years in high school...Also enjoys playing football.

Appeared in 14 games out of the bullpen across two big league stints with the New York Mets...Did not record a decision and pitched to an 8.24 ERA (19.2 IP - 18 ER) with seven walks and eight strikeouts... Pitched two or more innings in six of 14 appearances and stranded seven of 11 inherited runners... Was charged with at least one earned run in 10 of 14 appearances including a career-high five earned runs in one inning of work on April 27 vs. Philadelphia.
