The Diamondbacks and left-hander Matt Reynolds have agreed to a one-year deal, avoiding arbitration, the team announced Monday.
The D-backs recalled left-handed pitcher Matt Reynolds from Triple-A Reno on Sunday and optioned left-hander Keith Hessler to Reno.

Matthew William Reynolds graduated from Bishop Kelley (OK) High School, playing baseball and basketball all four years, and playing football his freshman year…Helped the baseball program win the state tournament as a freshman and was a 5A All-State selection as a senior in baseball and basketball....Went to University of Arkansas, helping the Razorbacks to the 2012 College World Series… His junior year he was first team All-SEC and was named by Collegiate Baseball as a third-team All-American…Led the Razorbacks that season with a .323 batting average, seven home runs and 45 RBI.2015
