Clinton Michael Robinson...graduated from Northview High School in Dothan, AL... Attended Troy University, where he helped the Trojans win both the regular season and postseason Sun Belt Conference crowns in 2006...selected by the Royals in the 25th round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft and signed by scout Max
Semler.

2013

Spent the 2013 season in the Toronto organization, hitting Double-A New Hampshire and Triple-A Buffalo, batting a combined .254 with 13 homers and 55 RBI in 111 games...Opened the season with Double-A New Hampshire, appearing in 76 games primarily as the starting first baseman before his July 9 promotion to Triple-A Buffalo...Struggled at the outset with Buffalo, going hitless in his first five games (0-for-15).

2012 Spent majority of season with Omaha (Royals' AAA), where he led the team in hits, doubles, total bases (220), walks and on-base percentage...Tied for second in the Pacific Coast League in walks and ranked sixth among all Triple-A hitters in doubles...Was named to the league's mid-season All-Star team...Swiped lone base on 4/8 vs. Albuquerque...Reached base safely in 24 consecutive games (12th-longest streak in the PCL) from 5/6-31 and batted .376 (32-for-85) with 14 walks and 17 RBI in that time...Hit .355 (38-for-107) with 11 doubles, 14 runs scored and 23 RBI in 30 games during the month of May...Had a season-high four RBI on 5/14...Was hitting .314 with eight home runs and 37 RBI when he was recalled by Kansas City on 6/8...Made his Major League debut in Pittsburgh on 6/8 and struck out as a pinch hitter against lefty Erik Bedard...Went hitless in four pinch hitting appearances with the Royals before being optioned back to Omaha on 6/14...Batted .273 (73-for-267) with five home runs and 30 RBI during the remainder of the Triple-A season...Fell a home run shy of hitting for the cycle while collecting a season-high five hits on 8/12...His triple on 8/12 was his first since 8/26/10...Went 3-for-5 in Game Five of the first round of the PCL playoffs vs Albuquerque to help the Storm Chasers advance to the PCL Championship...
