Cameron Arthur Rupp… 2007 graduate of Prestonwood Christian Academy (TX)… Attended the University of Texas… Named a First-Team Freshman All-American in 2008 and was selected to the 2009 College World Series All-Tournament team… His father, Kevin, pitched three years (1977-79) in the Montreal Expos Minor League system… Signed by: Steve Cohen.

2015

Made his first career Opening Day roster...Against LHP, batted .303 (20-66), 5 2B, 3B, 3 HR, 8 RBI, .545 SLG %...Slugged eight HR in his final 38 games after having just one HR through the first 65 games of his ML career...Started a career-high 79 games...Reached base safely in 57 of his 79 starts...Slugged his first career HR, 6/23 at NYY (CC Sabathia), which was the first HR by a Phillies catcher in 2015...Hit seven HR in the month of August to become the first Phillies catcher to have that many HR in a single month since 2002 (Mike Lieberthal - 8) and first Phillies rookie catcher since 1922 (Butch Henline); tied for the 5th-most HR in the NL in August...Twice had a career-high 4 RBI: 8/12 at ARI and 8/28 vs SD...Caught 18 of 51 (35.3%) runners attempting to steal
