Cameron Arthur Rupp… 2007 graduate of Prestonwood Christian Academy (TX)… Attended the University of Texas… Named a First-Team Freshman All-American in 2008 and was selected to the 2009 College World Series All-Tournament team… His father, Kevin, pitched three years (1977-79) in the Montreal Expos Minor League system… Signed by: Steve Cohen.

2016

Made his 2nd career Opening Day roster (2015)...Got his 1st career SB, 4/22 at MIL...Batted .339 (21-62) with RISP from 5/12 through the end of the season after starting the year 1-for-15 in those situations...Had a career-high 4 hits, 7/10 at COL...Tied his career high with 4 RBI twice: 7/10 at COL and 8/5 at SD...Among NL catchers, ranked 2nd in go-ahead RBI (18), T-2nd in game-winning RBI (10), 3rd in HR (16) & SLG % (.448) and 4th in doubles (26) & XBH (43)...Was just the 3rd Phillies catcher in the last 20 seasons (1997-current) to hit 15 or more HR in a single season (others: Mike Lieberthal, 5 times, and Carlos Ruiz)...Established career highs in hits (98), runs (36), doubles (26), HR (16), XBH (43), total bases (174), RBI (54) and SB (1)...Hit safely in 68 of his career-high 104 starts (65.4%)...43 of his 98 hits went for extra bases (43.9%)...Caught 13 runners in 58 SB attempts (22.4%), including 4 of his last 10
