Josh, who made his major league debut with Chicago in 2012 (36 games), is in his eighth professional season after being selected by the Cubs in the first round (third overall) of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft... Owns a .282 batting average (582-for-2,063) with 132 doubles, nine triples, 69 homers and 309 RBI in 562 career minor league contests... Named a Pacific Coast League mid-season All-Star in 2012... Recognized as the ninth-best prospect in the Cubs organization heading into the 2012 season by Baseball America … was tabbed by the publication as the Cubs third-best prospect entering 2010 and the top prospect heading into the 2008 and 2009 seasons... Was the top-ranked position player out of high school by Baseball America and Baseball Prospectus in 2007... Among all draft-eligible high school players, selected by Baseball America as the best pure hitter in the 2007 draft … was also rated as the second-best power hitter and having the second-best strike-zone judgment... Graduated from Cypress High School (Calif.) in 2007 … was named the 2007 Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year in California...
