Split 2014 between Chicago and Class AAA Charlotte...Established career highs in games (28), IP (29.1), strikeouts (32) and holds (four) … averaged 9.2 strikeouts per 9.0 IP...Recorded a 2.45 ERA (5 ER/17.1 IP) with 18 strikeouts vs. American League Central opponents...Limited lefties to a .170 average (9-53) and opponents to a .214 mark (24-112) … first batters were just 2-23 (.087)...Was designated for assignment by Kansas City on 2/17 and claimed off waivers by Chicago on 2/26...Made the White Sox Opening Day roster...Made six straight scoreless appearances (6.1 IP) to start the season from 4/2-13, allowing two hits with three holds...Allowed 10 runs (eight earned) in 7.2 IP over seven outings from 4/16-5/8 … issued three walks over 0.1 IP on 4/16 vs. Boston and allowed five runs in 2.0 IP on 5/8 vs. the Cubs...Was designated for assignment on 5/10 and outrighted to Charlotte on 5/12...His contract was purchased from Charlotte on 8/4...Recorded five-game scoreless streaks from 8/15-29 (4.2 IP; eight strikeouts) and 9/14-26 (5.1 IP; 11 strikeouts)...Went 3-5 in his save opportunities with Charlotte … nine of his 22 appearances were at least 2.0 IP...Worked a season-high 3.0 IP three times and recorded fourplus strikeouts three times...Each of his final five appearances with the Knights from 7/18-8/2 were scoreless (7.2 IP).
