Last name is pronounced Key-Sh-Nick. Graduated from Rockwall (Rockwall, TX) High School. Attended Texas Tech University…posted .305 avg. (67-for- 220) with 47 runs, 15 2Bs, three 3Bs, 17 HRs and 65 RBI in 55 games for Red Raiders his junior year. Had stellar freshman season with Texas Tech in 2006 that saw him hit .359 with nine HRs and 55 RBI with Red Raiders, earning him recognition as Big 12 Freshman of Year by conference coaches…also named All-Big 12 First-Team selection in '06 and was freshman All-American. Played two summers with USA National Team, featuring best college freshman and sophomores in the country… helped Americans win the silver medal at the '07 Pan American Games in Rio De Janerio.

Made his big league debut and hit .202 (17-for-84) with one triple and five RBI in 38 games for San Francisco. Started 21 games (all in left field). Was 2-for-12 (.167) with one RBI as a pinch-hitter. Made his Major League debut on July 31 at Philadelphia, starting in left field...he had eight family members and friends in attendance. Recorded his first big league hit in his very first plate appearance on July 31, hitting a RBI single to center field off RHP Kyle Kendrick. Recorded just one hit in his last 25 at-bats of the season. Hit .273 (102-for-374) with 27 doubles, nine triples, 13 homers and 56 RBI in 101 games for triple-A Fresno.
