The Cubs set the Opening Day 25-man roster Sunday, and placed four players on the 15-day disabled list, including infielder Javier Baez, who is sidelined with a bruised left thumb.

Ramirez to DL in flurry of moves for Cubs

Neil Ramirez sneezed on Sunday and felt a sharp pain on his left side. The right-hander now is on the disabled list because of what's being described as abdominal soreness, which he felt warming up Tuesday night.

Dallas Beeler is in his seventh pro season with the Cubs organization and has made five major league starts over the last two campaigns ... was selected by Chicago in the 41st round of the 2010 draft ... added to the 40-man roster, November 20, 2013. Owns a 29-29 career minor league record with two complete games and a 3.67 ERA (220 ER/539.0 IP) in 107 games (99 starts). Has struck out 357 hitters compared to 149 walks in 539.0 innings of work in the minors. Made his major league debut, June 28, 2014 vs. Washington, in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader … suffered the loss after allowing an unearned run in 6.0 innings. Made six starts and went 4-1 with a 2.49 ERA (6 ER/21.2 IP) for the Mesa Solar Sox during the 2013 Arizona Fall League after missing part of the regular season with a finger sprain on his right hand. Participated in the Cubs inaugural Rookie Development Program in Chicago in January of 2013 and the Cubs Caravan in 2015. © Underwent Tommy John ligament replacement surgery on his right elbow in the summer of 2009 while at Oral Roberts University ... recovered in time to pitch in nine games in 2010 after signing with the Cubs. Dallas Beeler spent the majority of the season with Triple-A Iowa, going 8-5 with a 4.07 ERA (50 ER/110.2 IP) in 21 starts ... made three starts with the Cubs in July, allowing nine earned runs in 8.1 innings (9.72 ERA). Went 7-0 with a 1.55 ERA (9 ER/52.1 IP) in the second half of the Triple-A season (eight starts), including a 5-0 mark with a 0.66 ERA (3 ER/40.2 IP) in his final six starts ... was 1-5 with a 6.33 ERA (41 ER/58.1 IP) in the first half of the season with Iowa. Held the Triple-A opposition to two earned runs or fewer in 12 of his final 13 outings and allowed one or zero earned runs in nine of those starts. Began the season on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation ... was activated May 18 and optioned to Iowa. At Iowa, struck out 83 hitters compared to 37 walks and allowed five home runs in 110.2 innings of work. Tossed a season-high 8.0-innings, August 30 vs. Sacramento, allowing just two hits and one unearned run in the I-Cubs 9-1 triumph ... had also allowed zero earned runs in his previous outing (6.2 IP), August 22 at Salt Lake. Dallas was 4-2 with a 3.13 ERA in nine starts for Double-A Tennessee before a finger sprain on his right hand ended his season in mid-May ... walked 17 and struck out 35 in 54.2 innings, and limited the opponent to a .214 batting average... Landed on Tennessee's disabled list, May 20, due to his injured finger ... missed remainder of season... Produced a 2.37 ERA (8 ER/30.1 IP) in his final five outings, April 25-May 18... Tossed 14.2 consecutive scoreless innings, April 20-May 2...
