The Orioles trimmed down their roster again following Sunday afternoon's 8-8 tie against the Rays, reassigning outfielder Alfredo Marte and left-hander Jeff Beliveau to Minor League camp.

In 41 minor league games with Triple-A Round Rock and Durham, and Double-A Montgomery, fanned 81 batters in 48.2 IP, a rate of 14.97 SO per 9 IP, 3rd best in all of minor league baseball (min. 25 apps) behind Jack Lethersich (Braves) at 15.73 and Juan Jaime (Mets) at 15.00... Had four tours with the Rays, but didn't appear in a game until his last one…was up for a total of 4 days in his first 3 appearances... Had gone home to Rhode Island after Durham's loss to Omaha in the Triple-A championship game on Sep 18, but three days later received a promotion to the Rays following their 18-inning win on Sep 20 vs. BAL... His lone appearance with the Rays came on Sept. 27 at TOR in a game the Rays lost 6-3... In 40 appearances at Durham and Montgomery combined (including the postseason with Durham) he fanned 88 of the 221 batters he faced (40 percent)…had at least 1 strikeout in 36 of 40 appearances…started the season for Durham fanning 35 in his first 17 innings... Held lefties to a .183 batting avg. (11-for-60) and fanned 28 while at Durham...
