Full name is Eric John Hosmer...participated in the 2011 and 2013 Royals FanFest and 2013 Caravan...Named prior to the 2012 season as a celebrity spokesperson for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City along with Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowl safety Eric Berry and championship boxer Victor Ortiz...Graduated from American Heritage High in Plantation, Fla., 2008...batted .470 with 11 home runs, 27 RBI, 49 runs, and 14 stolen bases as a senior to earn Player of the Year honors from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel...Played in the Aflac All-American High School Baseball Classic in 2007...Prior to the 2008 draft, he was rated as the high school player with the best power and the prep talent that is closest to the Majors by Baseball America.
