Selected by the Yankees in the fourth round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft.

Hit .167 (1-for-6) with 1R and 1 double in 2 games with the Yankees…made his Major League debut when he was called up as the Yankees' 26th Man for the 5/13 doubleheader at Cleveland…started the opener (L, 1-0) at first base (0-for-2, 1BB) and started the nightcap (W, 7-0) at second base (1-for-4, 1R)… recorded his first Major League hit in the top of the seventh inning off Trevor Bauer, hitting a leadoff double to deep center to ignite a 6-run frame…came around to score his first ML run on a double by Austin Romine two batters later…also played in 47G with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, batting .239 (45-for-188) with 9 doubles, 6HR, 19RBI and 30R as the team's second baseman… homered in both games of a doubleheader on 4/20 vs. Syracuse…batted .433 (13-for-30) with 3HR and 4 doubles during a season-long 7-game hitting streak from 4/15-21 (8R, 6RBI). 

2012 Combined at Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to hit .276 (114-for-413) with 59 R, 29 doubles, 2 triples, 15 HRs and 62 RBIs in 107 games...established a career high in home runs...Began the season on the disabled list with right shoulder soreness, missing nearly one month...was reinstated from the DL on 5/5 and assigned to Trenton where he batted .314 (27-for-86) in 23 games with the Thunder...Following a promotion to Scranton/WB on 6/1, batted .266 (87-for-327) with 50 R, 25 doubles, 13 HRs and 56 RBIs in 84 games...ranked second on the team in doubles and third in home runs and RBIs...Combined at both levels to record a .970 fielding percentage (15 E, 497 TC) for the season, appearing in 95 games defensively -- all at 2B...Batted .214 (3-for-14) in 10 Spring Training games with the Yankees. 2011 Spent the entire season as the primary second baseman for Double-A Trenton, batting .277 (138-for-499) with 75R, 38 doubles, 8 triples, 5HR and 58RBI in 131 games...Set career highs in games played, runs, doubles and triples, while leading all Thunder players in games, hits, doubles, RBI and walks...was also named to the Eastern League's midseason All-Star team...Recorded a 17-game hitting streak from 4/18-5/6, batting .339 (21-for-62) with 11R, 2 doubles, 2 triples, 1HR and 9RBI over the stretch...was the longest single-season hitting streak by a Thunder player in 2011 and third-longest in the EL in 2011...Played in 25 games for the Phoenix Desert Dogs of the Arizona Fall League following the season, batting .227 (22-for-97) with 14R, 8 doubles, 2HR and 11RBI...Was added to the Yankees' 40-man roster on 11/18/11. 2010 Combined to bat .283 (139-for-492) with 63R, 33 doubles, 7 triples, 6HR and 65RBI in 129 games with Single-A Tampa and Double-A Trenton...Began the season with Tampa where he was named to the FSL midseason All-Star team after batting .302 (115-for-381) with 52R, 27 doubles, 6HR and 52RBI in 98 games...prior to his promotion to Trenton, led all Tampa batters in average, hits, doubles and on-base percentage (.378)...Was promoted to Trenton on 8/2, hitting .216 (24-for-111) with 6 doubles, 4 triples and 13RBI in 31 games for the Thunder...Was named by Baseball America as the "Best Defensive Second Baseman" among all Single-A players. 2009 Batted .300 (114-for-380) with 39R, 17 doubles, 4HR and 57RBI in 100 games with Single-A Charleston...ranked fifth in the South Atlantic League in batting average...selected to the SAL's postseason All-Star team as the league's top 3B...Began the season with a 12-game hitting streak from 5/11-23, batting .308 (16-for-52) with 4 doubles and 1 triple over the stretch...named the SAL July "Player of the Month." 2008 Made his professional debut with the GCL Yankees, batting .277 (44-for-159) with 25R, 15 doubles, 2HR and 18RBI in 49 games...led the team and tied for third in the GCL in doubles...also led all GCL Yankees in runs scored...Reached base safely in each of his final 18 games beginning on 7/11.
