Banuelos deals with elbow discomfort

Manny Banuelos came to Spring Training with a legitimate chance to begin this season as the Braves' fifth starter, but instead of preparing for the upcoming season, the southpaw has instead spent the past week dealing with more left elbow discomfort.

There has been reason to assume Jhoulys Chacin will fill one of the two vacancies in Atlanta's starting rotation. But as Chacin struggled through the early portion of Sunday's 7-2 loss to the Nationals, he showed why the Braves are not ready to commit to placing him on their Opening Day roster.
