Name is pronounced heeyuhn soo kim…Attended Shinil High School in Seoul, South Korea...In September 2005, he competed for the South Korea national junior team, that was runner-up at the sixth Asian Junior Baseball Championship in Seoul...In 2005, he won the Lee Yeong-min Award, given annually to the most outstanding high school hitter in South Korea...Signed by Orioles scouts Mike Snyder and Brett Ward…Married, wife's name is Mihyeon Park.


Became the first Korean-born player in Orioles history when he made his Major League debut on 4.10 vs. TB...Collected his first ajor League hit with a single in the second inning...Notched a 10-game hitting streak from 7.26-8.8 in which he hit .324 (12-for-37) with five walks, one home run, and one RBI...Slugged his first Major League home run on 5.29 at CLE (solo HR off Jeff Manship in top of the seventh inning)... Slugged his first career home run at Oriole Park on 8.4 vs. TE; (off A.J.
