Full name is Don Atley Joseph...participated in the 2014 Royals FanFest and the 2014 Royals Caravan. Graduated from Hays High School in Buda, Texas...in addition to baseball, was a wide receiver in football and played basketball. Played baseball at the University of Texas...served as a starter during his freshman campaign, but was a reliever during his sophomore and junior seasons.

Donnie spent most of the season with Omaha (AAA), but made six appearances over three stints with Kansas City. Made his Major League debut on July 11 at Yankee Stadium, retiring Vernon Wells before allowing a walk and a single. Held Pacific Coast League hitters to a .199 average, including a .160 mark against lefties (13-for-81) ... averaged 13.83 strikeouts per 9.0 IP with the Storm Chasers.

2012 Donnie was acquired by the Royals with pitcher J.C. Sulbaran from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for pitcher Jonathan Broxton on July 31...Opened 2012 with Pensacola in the Cincinnati system and compiled a 4-2 mark with 13 saves and a 0.89 ERA in 26 outings before being promoted to Triple-A Louisville on June 10...Was 4-1 with five saves and a 2.86 ERA in 18 games for Louisville at the time of the trade to Kansas City...Finished the campaign with Omaha (AAA), going 1-0 with two saves and a 4.15 ERA in 11 games, striking out 19 in 17.1 innings. 2011 In his first full season at Class AA led Carolina and the Southern League with 57 apps and ranked fourth in the SL with a staff-high strikeouts-per-9 innings ratio of 10.18...converted 8-13 save opps... following the season pitched for Phoenix in the prestigious Arizona Fall League (12g, 1-1, 2.16, 16.2ip, 19h, 6bb, 17k)...on 1/12/12 was invited to 2012 Major League spring training camp. 2010 Was the Reds' Minor League Pitcher of the Year...in 57 relief apps at 3 minor league levels went 3-5, 2.08 with 24 saves in 30 chances (65ip, 43h, 103k)...led all Reds farmhands in saves...opponents hit just .182...while pitching for Lynchburg, among Carolina League leaders ranked second with 17 saves and fourth with 27 games finished...was the organization's Minor League Pitcher of the Month for April (2-1-4, 0.79, 2bb, 18k, .132oba)...was invited to 2011 Major League spring training camp, his first big league camp. 2009 In his first professional season went 4-3, 3.06 with 4 saves in 7 opps over 24 relief apps for rookie Billings and Class A Dayton...began the season with Billings, where he allowed just 1 earned run over 11.2 innings...was promoted on 7/24...on 9/4 vs South Bend, in his final appearance of the season gave up 4er in 2.2ip to raise his overall ERA from 2.12 to 3.06.
