Stefen Daniel Romero…resides in Tucson, Ariz.…graduated from Sunnyside (AZ) High School in June 2007…played the 2008 season at Pima Community College… attended Oregon State University, 2009-10…selected to the All-Pac-10 First Team in 2010…part of the Bourne Braves team that won the 2009 Cape Cod League title… fractured olecranon in right elbow at end of collegiate season in 2010.

Appeared in 72 games, making 45 starts (RF-35, DH-9,LF-1), hitting .192 (34x177) with 19 runs, 6 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs and 11 RBI... Had three stints withSeattle (March 31-June 29, July 17- Aug. 1 & Sept. 1-end of season)... Of the three home runs hit, one was a game-tying pinch-hit, 3-run home run in Atlanta on June 3 and another was a go-head home run (1st MLB homerun) on May 5 against Oakland's Scott Kazmir... Recorded his first Major League hit in the 4th inning on April 2 at Los Angeles- AL against left-hander Hector Santiago... Made the Mariners Opening Day roster for the first time in his career…made his MLB debut April 1 at LAA (0x4)... Spent entire season with the AAA Tacoma Rainiers…batted .277 (104x375) with 23 doubles, 4 triples, 11 home runs and 74 RBI in 93 games. Began the season on the disabled list after straining his oblique in spring training…appeared in 5 games with High Desert on rehab assignment. Recorded at least one hit in 66 of 93 games, including 27 multi-hit contests. Set a Tacoma franchise record with three grand slams. Played for the Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League…hit a pair of home runs in the annual Rising Stars Game. Has recorded 177 RBI over the last two seasons, 10th-most among MiLB players.

2012 Hit .352 (167x474) with 64 extra base hits (2B - 34, 3B - 7, HR - 23) and 101 RBI in 116 games with High Desert and Jackson...finished 3rd amongst all full-season minor leaguers in batting average and named to the Baseball America Second-Team All-Star team as a second baseman...one of 19 players in the minor leagues to knock in at least 100 runs...tied for the organizational lead in batting average, while ranking 2nd in RBI and 3rd in home runs...became the first Minor League Player in 2012 to hit for the cycle when he accomplished the feat May 22 at Lancaster...recorded 50 multi-hit games (25-High Desert, 25-Jackson)...hit walk-off grand slam and set season-high with 6 RBI May 12 vs. Rancho Cucamonga (4x6, 2 R, HR, 6 RBI)...season-high 16-game hit streak, May 19- June 8 (.411/30x73, 15 R, 3 HR, 17 RBI)...named to the Cal League All-Star team before being promoted to Jackson on June 21...with the Generals hit safely in 47 of 55 games (with AB), while batting .347 (75x216)...played for the Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League (.333/15x45), 2 2B, 2 HR, 9 RBI...listed as the Mariners No. 8 prospect by Baseball America heading into the 2013 season. 2011 Named Clinton's Most Valuable Player by the Mariners after leading team in batting average (.280), doubles (22), RBI (65), on-base (.342) and OPS (.803).
