High School...Traveled to Australia in Nov. 2013 as part of a Major League Baseball goodwill tour...Donated sports equipment to the Boys & Girls Club of Syracuse in January 2014.


Missed the entire season following Tommy John surgery on his left elbow on March 25 (performed by Dr. James Andrews in Florida)...Left his final Spring Training start on March 15 @ Indians with elbow discomfort...Was scheduled to be the club's Opening Day starter vs. Dodgers in Australia.


Went 14-8 with a 3.41 ERA (79 ER in 208.1 IP) and 178 strikeouts in his fi rst full season with the D-backs... Selected to his fi rst National League All-Star Team (L, 1 ER in 1.0 IP), the eighth pitcher in club history to participate in the Midsummer Classic...
