Trey enters his fifth season with Chicago after he was selected by the Cubs in the 32nd of the 2009 draft ... 2012 marked his second-straight full season at Double-A Tennessee...The right-hander is 27-16 with a 3.45 ERA (128 ER/334.0 IP) in 95 career minor league games, 70 starts ... has walked 136 and struck out 291, while allowing just 23 home runs in 334.0 innings. ...Was added to the Cubs 40-man roster, November 20, 2012. ...Was a non-roster invitee to major league Spring Training in 2011. ...Has lowered his hits allowed per nine innings in each of the last three years (12.1 in 2010, 11.4 in 2011 and 8.8 in 2012). ...Participated in the Cubs inaugural Rookie Development Program in Chicago in January of 2013. ...Was named the fourth-best Cubs prospect heading into 2012 by Baseball America. ...Named a 2011 Southern League mid-season All-Star ... was a Midwest League All-Star in 2010. ...Attended Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, Ala. ...Graduated from Haleyville (Ala.)
