Pollock unlikely to return in regular season

While he feels good about A.J. Pollock's chances of eventually returning to the diamond at some point, hand specialist Dr. Don Sheridan was reluctant to put a timeframe on it, but it does not seem like Pollock will be able to play during the rest of the regular season.

Pollock has successful surgery on elbow

D-backs outfielder A.J. Pollock underwent successful surgery on his fractured right elbow Tuesday afternoon, according to a release put out by the team.

Allen Lorenz (A.J.) Pollock IV... Attended the University of Notre Dame…was an All-Big East first team outfi elder in 2008 and 2009 and All-Big East third baseman in 2007…was Notre Dame's first back-to-back team MVP since Aaron Heilman (2000-01)…is the second player in school history to lead Notre Dame in hitting in three consecutive seasons... Graduated from RHAM High School in Hebron, Conn.…named Gatorade Player of the Year and Connecticut state Player of the Year in 2006.
