In his first season in the Texas organization, hit .182 with 9 home runs and 36 RBI in 86 games over 2 stints with Texas (Opening Day-7/6; 8/25-end of season)...suffered a season-ending left hamstring strain while running the bases in last game of that stretch on 9/14 vs. ATL, although no surgery was required to repair the injury...ranked T5th on club in homers and 8th in RBI, with the 9 HR being most by a Texas rookie since Mitch Moreland (9) in 2010...was listed as Texas' no. 3 prospect by Baseball America entering 2014, and also no. 98 prospect in baseball by BA.

2013

Was named as Oakland's minor league player of the year by Baseball America and was selected as an outfielder on the Pacific Coast League postseason all-star team at Sacramento (AAA)…ranked among the PCL leaders in RBI (T2nd, 89), hit by pitches (T2nd, 11), hits (4th, 154), runs (T4th, 90), at bats (7th, 510), and total bases (T7th, 227)… led the River Cats in games (132), hits, and RBI, and tied for 1st in doubles (29)…placed 2nd among all A's minor leaguers in runs and hits and was 3rd in batting (.302)…played in the Triple-A All-Star Game…was listed as the A's' no. 2 prospect by Baseball America entering the season…split time between left and center field but also saw action in right and as the DH… was Sacramento's cleanup hitter…had a .324 (78-241) average over his final 62 games beginning June 22…that included a .355 (38-107) mark in 27 games in July…had a season best 12-game hitting streak, June 1-15…had highs of 4 hits and 2 homers, April 14 at Reno…drove in 4 runs on 2 occasions, April 7 and July 26, both versus Las Vegas…had a .983 fielding percentage with 4 errors in 116 games in the outfield.

2012 Spent the entire season at Double-A Midland, batting .287 with 10 home runs and 58 RBI in 91 games in a season cut short due to a broken thumb...the batting average was the best of his career and ranked fifth in the A's farm system...also ranked seventh in on-base percentage (.356)...his on-base percentage and .423 slugging percentage were career lows...hit .290 (76-for-262) with nine of his 10 home runs against right-handed pitching compared to .278 (27-for-97) against left-handers...had a .317 average with runners in scoring position, but that mark dropped to .218 with RISP and two outs...batted .256 with six home runs and 43 RBI in 73 games before the All-Star Break, .414 with four home runs and 15 RBI in 18 games after the break...slugged .657 after the break compared to .367 before the break... appeared in 85 games on defense, all in center field...had seven assists but also committed seven errors for a .962 fielding percentage...hit .227 in six games at designated hitter...saw most of his action batting clean-up (67 games)...also hit third 20 times and fifth four times...was rated as the A's second best prospect by Baseball America following the season...was also tabbed as Oakland's best power hitter by the magazine. 2011 Shared A's Organizational Player of the Year honors with Jermaine Mitchell after batting .285 with 30 home runs and 82 RBI in 118 games with Single-A Stockton...tied for 12th in all of minor league baseball in home runs...was named to the California League Postseason All-Star team after leading the league in home runs and ranking fifth in slugging percentage (.542)...was also named to the Topps Class A All-Star Team and to the Baseball America High Class A All-Star Team...ranked second in the A's farm system in home runs, RBI and total bases (253), third in extra base hits (59), tied for third in runs (79), fourth in slugging, tied for sixth in walks (61), seventh in hits (133), ninth in on-base percentage (.376) and tied for ninth in doubles (28)...led Stockton in runs, hits, home runs, RBI, total bases and slugging...hit .320 (31-for-97) against left-handed pitching compared to .276 (102-for-370) against right-handers...had a .248 batting average at the All-Star Break but hit .332 in 53 games after the break...batted .315 on the road while hitting 17 of his 30 home runs at home...16 of his 30 home runs came with runners on base...appeared in 98 games on defense, all as a center fielder...also hit .257 with four home runs and 13 RBI in 20 games at designated hitter...hit third in all 118 of his games...reached base safely via hit or walk in 105 of those contests...had 38 multiple hit games...played for Phoenix in the Arizona Fall League following the season and batted .318 with six home runs and 18 RBI in 17 games...added nine walks for a .423 on-base percentage and five doubles for a .667 slugging percentage... named to the AFL Top Prospects Team and also played in the Rising Stars Game...tied for third in the AFL in home runs and ranked fourth in slugging...named AFL Co-Player of the Week Oct. 10 after going 8-for-17 (.471) with three home runs and four RBI over his first four games...was rated as the A's fifth-best prospect by Baseball America following the season.

STOCKTON: Got off to a slow start, batting .225 over his first 30 games through May 12...stole a season-high two bases May 4 at Inland Empire...had a nine-game hitting streak from May 13-21 (13-for-37, .351)...reached base in all five plate appearances May 18 at Bakersfield when he singled, homered and drew three walks...had two two-homer games in a four-game series at Visalia in late May, going deep twice May 25 and 27...went 0 for 5 with five strikeouts June 3 against Bakersfield...then reached base safely via hit, walk or hit by pitch in 47 consecutive games from June 5 to Aug. 11, matching the longest such streak in the Cal League in 2011 (Kole Calhoun, Inland Empire)...batted .339 with a .434 on-base percentage during the streak...had his third two-homer game of the season June 19 against Rancho Cucamonga...hit safely in a season-high 17 consecutive games from July 1 to 18...went 32 for 72 (.444) with six doubles, nine home runs, 21 RBI and 15 runs scored during the streak...homered in five consecutive games from July 2-6...earned Cal League Batter of the Week honors for the week of July 4-10 after going 13-for-30 (.433) with three doubles, four home runs and 13 RBI in seven games... hit his first of two grand slams July 4 at High Desert and then went 5 for 6 with two doubles, a home run and a season-high five RBI the next day against the Mavericks...had three RBI the day after that, going 9 for 16 with three home runs and 12 RBI in the three-game series against High Desert...went 4 for 6 July 12 at Bakersfield...was named Topps California League Player of the Month in July after batting .416 with 10 home runs and 22 RBI in 22 games...added six doubles for an .820 slugging percentage and nine walks for a .475 on-base percentage...went 2 for 3 Aug. 8 against Rancho Cucamonga to lift his average to a season-high .294...then went 4-for-32 (.125) over his next eight games...had a 12-game hitting streak from Aug. 21 to Sept. 4 (16-for-47, .340)...hit his second grand slam of the season Aug. 28 against Inland Empire...batted .426 (20-for-47) with four doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI in 11 postseason games for the Ports.
2010 Was the A's first round selection in the First-Year Player Draft and signed July 29...went 0 for 7 with two walks in three games with the A's affiliate in the Arizona Rookie League before he was transferred to Single-A Vancouver of the Short-Season Northwest League Aug. 6...batted .284 with seven home runs and 26 RBI in 27 games with the Canadians for a .266 average in 30 games overall...hit .316 (25 for 79) with six of his seven home runs and 21 of his 26 RBI against right-handed pitching compared to .133 (4 for 30) against left-handers...his average improved to .294 with runners in scoring position...five of his seven home runs came with runners on base...batted .393 during the day and .222 at night...compiled a .158 (3 for 19) average when leading off an inning...hit third 20 times, second seven times, fourth twice and sixth once...appeared in 29 games in center field, including all 27 of his outings with Vancouver... was named the A's third best prospect by Baseball America following the season and was also tabbed by the magazine as the number two prospect in the Northwest League.
