Kevin was a 31st-round pick by the Rays in 2010 (the 941st player picked overall), the fourth-lowest pick in club history to make it to the big leagues with the Rays…the only lower picks were Joey Gathright, 32nd round in 2001; Chad Gaudin, 39th round in 2001; and Travis Phelps, 89th round in 1996... He enjoys spearfishing carp, gar and dogfish at night on his grandfather's lake in Indiana…the fish are endangering the lake's ecosystem.

Played in 2 games for the Rays, both as a lateinning defensive replacement in CF: the Game 163 tiebreaker at Texas and the AL Wild Card Game at Cleveland…was not on the ALDS roster…has yet to record an at-bat…despite those 2 games, has not yet accrued any major league service time as tiebreakers and postseason games do not count toward it...
