D-backs make several roster moves

The D-backs made seven roster moves Tuesday, including bringing up five players from Triple-A Reno and one from Double-A Mobile, and placing one on the 60-day disabled list.

D-backs pitcher Evan Marshall has been transferred to the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix as he continues to recover from injuries suffered when he was hit in the head by a line drive.

Evan Patrick Marshall... Married to Allie...Attended Kansas State University…ranked second on the Wildcats' all-time appearance list (85) at the time of his departure…was 5-5 with a 1.62 ERA and 1 save in 30 relief appearances as a junior…earned All-Big 12 Second-Team honors as a sophomore reliever...Is a 2008 graduate of Homestead (Calif.) High School…was a 4-time team Most Valuable Player and named All-Central Coast Section Second Team as a junior…garnered Louisville Slugger Preseason High School All-American honors in 2008... Signed by Joe Robinson.


Was 4-4 with 19 holds and a 2.74 ERA (15 ER in 49.1 IP) in 57 games in his first Major League season with Arizona... His 19 holds were a club rookie record, while his 2.74 ERA was sixth best by a D-backs rookie reliever (min. 30 games)... Ranked among NL rookie relievers in holds (2nd), appearances (3rd), strikeouts (5th, 54) and innings pitched (6th)...
