He and his fiance Brianna have a daughter, Marley...Graduated from Hamilton Christian High School in Louisiana, where he was All-State in football, basketball and baseball.

2016

Spent the majority of his second season in the Braves organization at the Major League level, playing in 115 games, making 90 starts…His 90 starts with Atlanta came at four different positions: second base (77 games), left field (11), third base (1) and center field (1)...Finished the season with a .254 (89-for-350) batting average with 16 doubles, seven home runs and a .350 on-base percentage in 115 games...Opened the year with Atlanta and hit .182 (8-for-44) with one extra-base hit (double) and four RBI in 21 games (13 starts) before being optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on 5/2...Played in 26 games at the Triple-A level, going 18-for-97 (.186) with three doubles and six RBI before returning to Atlanta on 6/10…Started 16 games at second base and 10 in center field…While with Gwinnett, was placed on the paternity leave list 5/5-9... Made his first Opening Day roster in his first season with Atlanta and hit .239 (126-for-528) with six home runs and 52 RBI in 152 games…Finished second on the team in games (152), plate appearances (597) and stolen bases (12)…Led all National League players with 22 bases-loaded RBI. His mark tied for the third-highest basesloaded total in Atlanta-franchise history since at least 1974. Brian McCann had 26 in 2007 and Jeff Francoeur finished with 24 that same year. Also hit .563 (9-for-16) with the bases full…Hit his first career home run, a grand slam off Mat Latos on 5/16 at Miami. Became the fourth Braves player whose first career home run was also a grand slam, and the first since Marcus Giles, who accomplished the feat on 5/15/01 off of Colorado's Mike Hampton. The other two instances were Barry Bonnell on June 5, 1977 vs. SF's Randy Moffitt and Vic Correll on July 31, 1974 also off SF's Moffitt. His four RBI set a career-high total…Hit .252 (76-for-302) with 37 of his 52 RBI in 83 games prior to the All-Star break, including .282 (29-for- 103) in May. Batted .221 (50-for-226) during the second half…Made 65 starts as the leadoff hitter, hitting .231 (60-for-260) with a .312 OBP…Compiled a 4.2 defensive runs above average mark, which ranked seventh-best among qualifying second baseman. Turned 109 double plays, tied for the fourth most in the majors…Collected his first game-ending RBI, singling home Alberto Callaspo with two outs in the 11th inning on 5/23 vs. MIL…Hit in a career-best nine straight, 6/7-6/15, batting .385 (15-for-39) during his run…Collected a career-high three hits six times…Batted .273 (67-for-245) with a .366 OBP at Turner Field. Only one of his six home runs came at home.

Enters 2015 ranked by Baseball America as the Braves ninth-best prospect, as well as the "Best Athlete" and possessing the "Best Strikezone Discipline" among Atlanta farmhands...Made his Major League debut in 2014, having been called up to the majors on four different occasions...Originally had his contract selected from Double-A San Antonio on 4/25 and made his Major League debut that night at WSH, coming off the bench to go 1-for-2 with a single off Stephen Strasburg...He also had Major League stints from 6/4-28, 7/12-24 and 8/14-20...Started 18 games total for the Padres, 10 at second base and eight at third base...In 18 games with Double-A San Antonio, hit .311 (23-for-74) with three doubles, one home run, seven RBI, 10 runs scored and four stolen bases...In 68 games with Triple-A El Paso, hit .306 (76-for-248) with 21 doubles, six triples, two home runs, 39 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 44 runs scored...Appeared in 22 games with the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League following the season and batted .262 (22-for-84) with 14 runs, five extra-base hits and nine RBI.

2013

Named the team MVP for Single-A Lake Elsinore batting a career-best .303 with 42 stolen bases ..... The Storm's starting shortstop, fi nished the season ranked sixth in the California League in batting, tied for third in triples, fourth in stolen bases and had the fi fth-lowest plate-appearance-tostrikeout-ratio at 8.55 ..... Was the Padres' Organizational Offensive Player of the Month in June after batting .389 with four doubles, four triples, four home runs, 19 RBI and 25 runs scored while stealing 12 bases in as many attempts ..... Left-handed batter hit .337 (32-for-95) against southpaws, including posting a .495 slugging pct ..... Following the season, was rated by Baseball America as the No. 7 prospect in the Padres system.

2012

Spent the entire campaign with Single-A Fort Wayne...Prior to the season, named the best athlete in the Padres organization according to Baseball America's annual best tools survey...Played in the Midwest League All-Star Game...Stole 51 bases in 64 attempts, fi nishing second in the Midwest League in thefts.

Spent his entire first professional season with Short-A Eugene, playing in 73 games.
