Michael Thomas Conforto graduated from Redmond (WA) High School where he was named All-State and All-League after his senior campaign...Batted .400 as a senior with five doubles, one triple, seven home runs and 19 RBI in 29 games…Also lettered two years in football as a quarterback and a free safety…Attended Oregon State University...Was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year during his first season on campus...Hit a team-leading .349 and led the Pac-12 with 76 RBI as a freshman... Followed it up with Pac-12 Player of the Year selections his sophomore (2013) and junior (2014) seasons...Batted .328 with 14 doubles, 11 home runs and 47 RBI his sophomore season...In his final collegiate season, he hit .345 with seven home runs and 56 RBI…Played in 16 games for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team during the summer of 2012…His selection as the 10th pick in the first round made him the highest player drafted in Oregon State history...Was Oregon State's first-ever three-time All American...Was a finalist for the Golden Spikes and Dick Howser Awards as the nation's top player for his performance during his junior season…His father, Mike, played football as a linebacker at Penn State University...His mother, Tracie, won two gold medals in synchronized swimming at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles…Became the 1,000th player in team history when he made his major league debut on July 24.

Made his second Opening Day roster...Placed on the Disabled List on August 25 with a dislocation of his left shoulder and a tear in the posterior capsule in the shoulder...Did not play the remainder of the season...Had surgery to repair the tear in the posterior capsule in his left shoulder on September 6 in Los Angeles...Was also on the 10-Day DL from July 1 (retroactive to June 28) through July 8 with a bruised left hand...Set career-highs in home runs (27), RBI (68), OPS (.939), hits (104), walks (57) and runs scored (72)...Named to his first All-Star team...Was the 12th Mets outfielder named to an All-Star team in team history...Went 1-2 in the game with a single...At the time of his season-ending injury, Conforto ranked among NL league leaders in OPS (.939, 12th), OBP (.384, 13th) and slugging percentage (.555, 12th)...Is the first Met to hit at least 25 home runs in his age 24 season or younger since David Wright hit 30 homers in his age 24 season in 2007...Was also the second Met age 24 or younger to hit 20 or more home runs before the end of July...
